We Embrace a Variety of Faith Stories
Our style is informal and welcoming. Because we are the only Protestant presence in the San Geronimo Valley, our church family embraces those from diverse church backgrounds and those with no prior familiarity with Christianity. Our worship reflects this diversity, and our music is broad its variety of expressions of praise to God. Though we share common Christian beliefs, a wide range of theological perspectives is present in our community. We also enjoy vital relationships with the other faith communities around us, and interfaith services and discussions are important to us.
God’s Love Sends Us Out
Jesus said, “As the Father sent me, so I send you.” (John 20:21). We believe that the same Spirit Jesus breathed on his disciples on that occasion also empowers us to heal and teach in his name. We believe the good news of God’s love in Christ is for all people, and that we who follow Jesus are called to embody that love in all we do. This ministry happens through the work of the church, but also through individual followers of Jesus as they mingle with others in their communities and the world. We carry the good news of God’s love into places of need in our neighborhoods where we notice that God is already at work, and where we know we are meant to serve others. It is our joy and privilege to participate in the life of God’s realm.
What We Believe
We believe in God, the Creator and Lover of all that exists.
We believe that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior, the living Word who shows us what God’s love looks like in human form and whose life and ministry, death and resurrection reconcile us to God despite the imperfections in our own efforts.
We believe that the Holy Spirit helps us to know God’s will and understand God’s word, leading us into truth. We hear God’s word to us today when we read scripture and hear good news proclaimed. We trust that all scripture is God-breathed and useful for faith and practice.
